Ford Introduces All-New 2022 Bronco Raptor

Ford is taking the all-new Bronco to the next level with the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor – designed to be a capable high-speed desert-dune conquering and Baja rock-crawling SUV. The 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine is expected to deliver more than 400 hp, and the custom suspension setup is the perfect complement to the high-strength steel frame and standard 37-inch all-terrain tires.

To manage the extra width of the larger tires and give the Bronco Raptor more confidence during high-speed cornering, the width has been increased 9.8 inches with large fender flares to match the race-inspired features inside and out. Those familiar with the F-150 Raptor will notice similar styling cues and features throughout the Bronco Raptor.

The 2022 Bronco Raptor was inspired by Ultra4 Racing, which is the ultimate level of off-road competition, with demanding races across rugged terrain. One drive in the Bronco Raptor reveals that it was made for hardcore off-road enthusiasts who push their vehicles to the limit.

“We had to build the Bronco Raptor – it’s our ultimate vehicle for hardcore off-road enthusiasts who demand something more,” said Carl Widmann of Ford Performance. “Like the Ultra4 desert race trucks, the ‘Raptor of SUVs’ conquers desert dunes at highway speeds and is equipped with competition-level off-road technology and hardware.”

The entire suspension system was redesigned to handle the extra stress of extreme off-road driving, with an upgraded Dana rear axle, FOX shocks with semi-active dampers, higher ride height, and KO2 all-terrain tires. The twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine was also modified to make the Bronco Raptor the most powerful street-legal Bronco ever.
